We wish we could help all who need assistance in our community, but due to limited resources we have established the following framework for determining eligibility:
Grants are awarded on a first come first served basis for eligible applicants. We are currently awarding grants to two families per month. Please inquire before applying if we still have available grants for your due date month by emailing us at email@example.com.
Priority is given to women who are not receiving any paid leave, but if we do not receive two applications of that nature in any given month, we will award a grant to someone receiving minimal paid leave.
Eligible applicants will earn an annual gross family income of no more than $75,000 for a family of four, with an additional $12,000 for each subsequent child (e.g. $87,000 for family of five, $99,000 for family of six, etc.).
You may apply on the first day of the month, up to two months prior to your due date month (e.g. July 1st for an August or September due date).
If you earn a net income of $750 or more a month, you will be eligible for a gift of $750. If you earn less than $750 a month, you will be eligible for a gift equal to your monthly income.
If you are the primary earner in your home, you may be eligible for a grant of $1,000.
You must provide the following:
-proof of pregnancy (ultrasound, letter from OBGYN/midwife, visit summary)
-proof of income (pay stubs, tax return if self-employed)
-proof of spouse's income (pay stubs, tax return if self-employed)
-letter (or copy of an email) from your employer affirming that you will not be receiving any paid time off, or proof of self-employment
Incomplete applications will not be considered. In the event of technical difficulties, please email attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adoptive families are also eligible! Please email us if you are adopting for adapted application instructions.
A phone interview and/or rabbinic reference may be deemed necessary to determine eligibility.
Thank you and good luck! We wish you a smooth, calm, peaceful birth and transition for you and your growing family.
